Summer Almost Over WOW

I can't believe that school (at least for my little one) starts Aug. 6th.  On that day I become a homeschool teacher.  So I will have 1more full time job.  So I will be making jewelry, teaching, and everything else that needs to be done around the house.  So busy busy busy.  But that is a good thing.  I have been doing home parties and what fun we have been having.  So if you live in Jacksonville,fl. area and want to get some free jewelry just let me know and we will book your party.  My website is up and you can now go on it and see what you want to buy. http://www.designeduniquely.com/index.htm.  Will tell you more in a few days.

Ok now I am done as a preschool teacher and very excited about going full time into my business.   Doing what I can to get parties booked and keep that going.  A little at a time it all seems to be coming together for my business and praise the Lord for that. 
Over the last few days I have been making necklaces and earrings like crazy.  I also made gifts for Daniel's teachers, very late Mother's day gifts, and fixing some pieces for some customers.  So I have been busy and enjoying all of it. 
So I am going to be doing my very best to post everyday or at least every other day to keep everyone up on what is going with me and my business.  So keep checking and I will keep bloging. 
I need to get up in the morings and get pictures of some of my new items so that I will have pictures of everything that I have.  But intil then here are some that I have for anyone that wants them to be theirs.

Sunday May 20

It is Sunday after church and there just isn't enough time to bead today but my brain sure is racing on what I need to be doing.  I have so many ideas and so many things that I need to be doing. I have teacher gifts to make, birthday gifts to make, and a few other gifts that I need to make.  I have the beads now I just need to put it together.  So tomorrow I will be srarting and hoping that I can get it all done this week.  Get some in the mail and take the teachers theirs on Thurs.  So in a few hrs back to church for the childrens program.  I  can't wait because only 2 more days at the preschool and then on to the next stage in our lives.  Working really hard on my business, homeschooling my son, and I am really excited to start all of this.  So I will let you know how everything is going.

Wow what a week.  Had to get some orders filled.  Had some special orders and that is always fun to do.  My party for tomorrow has been moved so I am looking forward to making some new pieces.  Still have to get my own Mother's mothers day gift done and in the post.  Wow am I behind on that.  Only 3 more days at my preschool job and then I am a full time mom homeschooler, and jewelry maker.  Boy is that going to keep me busy.  I can't wait.  It is wonderful to do what you love and love what you do.  At that point I will be taking lots of pictures of all my new items early in the morning and getting them on the web later in the day.  My website is coming along and I hope to have it up and running very soon.  This yr has been going by so fast and next month is my birthday so may be doing something special for the month of June in honor of that.  Will have to think about that for a bit to make it fun and exciting.  After you read this let me know what you think I am still learning how all this works and going to do my best to post most everyday.  With my 5yr. old that can be difficult some days.  I have been sitting in there for a bit trying to figure out what to do next and some days it can be a bit much.  So many beads and places to start.  So I think I am going to just dig in and see what happens.  I have just had a thought so I have to go so I can test it out and see what is going to happen.  If I think it is going to work will share soon.

Mother's Day

What a wonderful day.  My parties have been going wonderful and I am so excited to help people find jewelry that they love to go with other things in their closet or new outfits that they have bought.  It is also a joy to create custom jewelry for my customers.  I love my job but I should say that it doesn't fell much like a job it feels like the best thing that I have ever done.  There is such a joy in creating something and others loving it as much as you do.  So now that I have time I am going to create something beautiful for my mother for Mother's day and drop it in the mail this week.  I know it is late but better late than not at all.

Just a little note on this Sat.

It seems like I never get over here enough so I am going to start trying to do a better job.  I have been doing some parties and things seem to be going really good.  Some big some small but I am still making sales and that is what really matters.  I am also having a lot of fun at it.  I have been busy making jewelry and doing what I have to do to get it ready to sale.  Some days that isn't easy either but that is what has to be done.  I am not sure if anyone but me is reading this so I am also going to start trying to get people over here to read my posts. 

To get this ready is it is a bit of time or at least it feels like it when I never have time to do it.  First I make and fall in love with an item. Set it aside and make more.  Then I give it an invoice # so I can keep up with everything.  Numbers are put in a spreadsheet to determine the cost.  Once all that is done then if I have time pictures and then putting the price tag on the item so that I can keep up with everything.  So as you the consumer shops you can see the price and as you buy I have the invoice # to let me know what has sold.  Sounds simple and easy but there are days that there is a lot to price out and get it all done before a party so not always as easy as it sound.  Right now I have a lot of things I need to get pictures of just need the time and the right time of day to do it.  So I will be busy doing that this coming week.  Everyone have a great week and if you are in the mood to look and shop go over to my fb page and do a little at Uniquely Designed Jewelry. 

Party Party Party

I have started doing parties and they have been wonderful.  I am having so much fun sharing my work with others.  Plus others are buying my jewelry.  I am so very excited and love doing them.  Very low key and fun.  I have a fair next month and another big event in May.  I am so very happy and this have been a great addition to my business.  Pop back for more info. soon.
